OUR STORY

We are educators, naturalists and outdoor enthusiasts. Tidelands Nature School is a manifestation of a dream to connect nature, education and community in Savannah. We hope to inspire the youngest in our city to explore, protect, and find solace in our visually stunning, biodiverse habitats. We want to share our passion and knowledge of Savannah’s natural environment, while seeking collaboration with parents and other like-minded organizations in our community. We do not operate out of a brick and mortar school or designated site. The bountiful parks, tidal rivers and trails of Savannah are our classrooms. Our current focus is on summer camps, homeschool programming, and field trips for established schools. In the future, we aspire to bring a nature preschool to Savannah. ​

 

Our Mission: Tidelands Nature School is dedicated to cultivating curiosity and awareness of our diverse natural world. We aim to illuminate our innate connection to nature, fostering stewardship of vulnerable ecosystems in and around the city of Savannah.​
